Short Background

Daniel Bauman is a first-year PhD student in the Stanford Institute for Computational and Mathematical Engineering (ICME), expected graduation in June 2028. He is supported by a three-year Stanford Graduate Fellowship. He received an A.B. in Mathematics, with honors, from Princeton University in May 2023, with a certificate in Applied and Computational Mathematics. He was awarded the Sigma Xi Book Award for Outstanding Research in Mathematics from the Princeton Mathematics Department and the "Best PACM Research Project" award from the Princeton Program in Applied and Computational Mathematics. He was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri.
